IMPLEMENTATION
Alfa Laval IndiTop® indication unit has been designed as an easy to use and easy electrical feedback unit for use with hygienic butterfly and single seat valves. It is compatible with all major PLC’s (PNP/NPN).  It is intended for use in food, dairy and beverage applications and pharmaceutical industry.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE
IndiTop® is a unique “Contactless” sensor system that does not require mechanical setting. It is used to control pneumatic valves and is easily assembled over the valve actuator. IndiTop® ensures fast and east installation with “5-step installation” method or with remote installation from the PLC system; in incessantly indicates the current valve position and valve open status via visual LED lamps and the unit sends feedback on the valve position as DC and AC via a cable. For the cabled version, selection of PNP or NPN is done via external electrical installation and with Product no. for plug version. It can be replaced with Alfa Laval side field indicator (Hall Switches) without renewing the connection cables.

Electrical Connection
Connected cable consists of 6 sub cables. 2 standard feedback cables are not used in remote control installation; only 4 cables
are connected to external system (Red, Black, Green, Yellow).  According to requirement of PNP or NPN Brown is always
connected to Red (PNP) or Black (NPN). If remote control will not be used, Orange cable should always be connected to Red.
